I'm Benji. I'm an autodidact software engineer. I'm full-stack capable, but lean heavily into the backend.
Over the years, I've worked on some really neat projects. Most recently I've helped scale out computer vision workloads at Flock Safety.
I really like building low-latency, high uptime distributed systems. Go is my language of choice for this type of work, although I'm proficient in several others. I favor whichever database is right for the job. Postgres is a sane default, but I also like wide-column stores, key-value stores, graph and document databases when the data fits.
